My name is Anju and I was born into a Sikh family. The fundamentals of Sikhism is to give and growing up I was shown this on a daily basis by my parents.
I remember when I was 11 and on a trip to India with my mum and brother, I experienced seeing a lot of souls that did not have food to eat and it made me feel sad and I wanted to do something about it.
My mum said that we can do Seva and help so we provided around 500 meals to the souls that needed it, I remember feeling so happy and grateful that we helped that day in a small way.
For me growing up as a teenager into an adult I always wanted to help others in whatever way I could and still today that is what I am about, I am a giver and am so blessed that God has allowed me to take the steps I have in my life to help others
I met my soul mate Nim 11 years ago and since then we have been blessed to be in each other’s life’s helping each other and others around us.
Last year I had a vision that I wanted to do something for others and make a commitment and for me it was about providing a meal to amazing souls who do not know where their next hot meal was coming from.
I have worked with vulnerable people for 10 years and over the years have seen people not have money to fed themselves so I have always offered food to these souls.
This was the concept behind me wanting to set up Food4All. So me and Nim made a commitment to fund this project to provide a hot meal to individuals that need it most and it was not about who they are and what background they come from it was just about giving seva to everyone.
The blessing of feeding the homeless and people on a low income has really had a massive effect on me and Nim, we feel so so so blessed that the universe has chosen us to help in this way as it really has made us feel privileged that every Sunday we can serve in this way.
If we can not be there to cook and serve other souls that know us, are happy to stand in and deliver the service we have set up.
Please get involved and donate to this cause it’s so worth it.
#Pay It Forward
Thank you to all you beautiful souls from Anju & Nim and helping us make our vision a reality
